On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong put his left foot on the rocky Moon. It was the first human footprint on the Moon. They had taken TV cameras with them. The first footprints on the Moon will be there for a million years. This photograph was taken by Buzz Aldrin.

GAZ-M20 “Pobeda”

“The GAZ-M20 “Pobeda” (Russian: ГАЗ-М20 Победа; Победа means “Victory”) was a passenger car produced in the Soviet Union by GAZ from 1946 until 1958. In 1955-57, several thousands were built with a four-wheel drive system adapted from a contemporary Soviet military vehicle (GAZ-69) for cross-country travel (designated GAZ-M-72). Russian references credit these as possibly being the first comfortable off-road vehicle with a closed unitized body.”

The world’s first portable compact-disk player. Introduced in 1967 by Philco-Ford, “Hip-Pocket” records were less than 4 inches in diameter and flexible enough to carry in your pocket without damage. Despite available titles from a number of major artists including the Beatles, the idea was an instant flop.
